...In November, 1924, at a meeting of the members of the
choir, held in the home of Mrs. C.F.Gilbert, officers were
elected as follows: Mrs. Charles Santana, President; Mrs.
W.L.Ellis, secretary; Mr. Sam Jones, treasurer and business
          manager; Mrs. Roscoe Turner, organist....
Mrs. Roscoe Turner, nee Carline Stovall, succeeded Miss
Mabel Ray as organist. Mrs. Turner was a talented musician. Not
only was she a fine organist, but she also possessed a lovely
voice. Mrs. Turner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stovall were at
one time members of the Corinth Church; they were loyal
          Methodists.
After about a year Mrs. Turner moved away from Corinth, and
Mrs. W.L. Stroup, was appointed to take over the work of the
          organist....[p.173]
