GLOVER SCHOOL (White), Sec.34, R7, T1. This school was in
the what we know as West Corinth. It was of a one-room,
wood-frame structure. The two known teachers were Mae
Bradley and Ed Crow. Ed Crow also, went to school here.
The Following article was found in Mrs. Ethel Bradley Green's
scrapbook by her daughter, Nita Dees.
PROGRESS OF WEST CORINTH SCHOOL- The first school building
in West Corinth was erected in 1899, a one-room structure,
near where the Garden Flower Shop is now located on the
Wenasoga Road. This was known as the Glover School, Named
for Mr. Pryor S. Glover who had done outstanding work in the
organization of the school.
In 1908 land was purchased in a more central part of the
community and a two-room building was erected. It was at
this time that the name of the school was changed to West
Corinth....

S. Mae Bradley Jobe taught Roscoe Turner at Glover School
before her marriage. Miss Bradley had a 2 to 3 mile walk to
school. On her way she would stop by the Turner home & walk
the children to school.

is a daughter of S. Mae Bradley Jobe. Mrs. Payne does not
have any photographs of Glover School per telephone

sister to Nita's mother. Nita may have photo of Glover
