numerous ads for automobiles but none for this company. A full
page ad for this company appeared in the June, 1918, Memphis

Information compiled by: David M. Sandy on March 13, 1993 at the Memphis
/Shelby County Public Library Main Branch, 1850 Peabody Ave,
        Memphis, TN.

On 5/9/1993 while in Memphis, we searched for the location of the
above residences to see if anything still survived. 1425 Florida is near
the intersection of Florida and S. Parkway. A large Ford funeral home is
diagonally across the street. No structure exists at the 1425
address. Houses in the surrounding neighborhood which might have existed
in this time period appear to be mostly shotguns and one story modest
bungalows. 1400 Union Ave residence of Frank F. Hill no longer exists.
The whole of this block of Union is largely commercial. There is a
private club in the same block called the 19th Century Club which may
have existed at the time. 272 S. Wellington is now Danny Thomas Blvd.,
between Pontotoc and Linden Streets. Most of this block looks as if it
was razed. A few nice looking, large old residences exist as run-down
slums on Pontotoc. The next block over behind this address, were two very
fine looking 2 story brick houses at 210 Lauderdale which may have
    been there in 1916.
