  Dear Mrs. Turner:

This letter will acknowledge receipt of the first part of the
Roscoe Turner collection consisting of two aircraft and related
memorabilia. A copy of the inventory is enclosed. We will be contacting
the Fred Crawford Auto & Aviation Museum of the Western Reserve

Wedell-Williams Racer, Serial No. NX61Y, Racing No. 25.

This first installment is rich in artifacts of the racing and
development era of Colonel Turner's aviation career.

colleciton available at this time and look forward to receiving the
remainder of the collection at your convenience.

                                  Sincerely,

                                  Michael Collins

  Enclosure

P.S. Roscoe gave the graduation speech when I graduated from Primary
Flying School in Columbus, Miss., in 1953. It was the best I've ever
  heard.
                                  Sincerely,
                                      M.C.
