       During his career, Roscoe Turner took along many flight covers
for stamp collectors on his record setting flights.

       On Roscoe Turner's 100th birthday, September 29, 1995, in
Corinth, Mississippi, a special commemorative postmark was applied
at the Northeast Mississippi Museum.

       Special canceled cachet souvenir covers were available at the
museum and included a biographical insert card and souvenir ticket
from the 10th Annual Roscoe Turner Hot Air Balloon Race. The covers
were flown over Turner Hill, Roscoe's boyhood home, on the morning of
September 29, 1995, and bear a commemorative backstamp from Eddie
LaFavour, the balloon pilot founder of the Roscoe Turner Hot Air
Balloon Race.
