Funeral services for Mary Emma Whitaker, 82 of Corinth, are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Malcom George and Charles Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery.Mrs. Whitaker died Monday, July 9, 2001, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a retired secretary and a homemaker. She was a member of Foote Street Church of Christ. She is a sister to the late Roscoe Turner. She was preceded in death by her son, Mack Whitaker; and her parents, Robert and Aquilla Turner.Survivors include her husband, Cecil Whitaker of Corinth; a daughter-in-law, Mary Nell Martin and her husband, Ronny, of Iuka; grandchildren, Clint Whitaker and his wife, Carol, of Plantation, Fla., and Christy Madlinger and her husband, Frank, of Cordova, Tenn.; great-grandchildren Mac Madlinger and Christopher Madlinger; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial contributions may be made to Pinevale Children's Home, Wenasoga Road, Corinth, MS 38834.Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home.
